We've only just begun...

I am forever being teased by my family about being a little anal when it comes to being clean. They tell me all the time how I have OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and that I need to lighten up. As I talked with my friend Sarah today, we were talking about things we can do with our kids on rainy days. I told her that I like to let Zack play with messy things...in the bath tub of course, because, you know...I have OCD! :) Today was one of those days where I needed a good time-filler between lunch and nap time, so I decided to give Zack chocolate pudding for the first time. Not to worry, it was sugar free. We've really held off on giving him sweets, and by the look on his face as he tasted the pudding for the first time...and the way that he literally started drinking it down...it was priceless!

"Can we have this puddin' stuff every day, Mom?"

No way was he letting go of it!

This is exactly why I had him eat it in the tub!

It doesn't get any sweeter (or messier) than this.

"Okay, okay, Mommy. I know you're about to have a heart attack with all this mess...I'll clean up now."

Trying on my Guinness hat...my little Irish boy!

Having lunch at Iguana's with Logan and Auntie Emily...his face consists of chicken noodle, fruit medley and biter biscuit. Yum! See??? I'm learning to let him be messy! You'd better believe I made him take a bath afterwards though!

We had some celebrations this week. Wednesday (16th) was our wedding anniversary and Thursday (17th) was Rich's birthday. Rich sent me these beautiful roses for our anniversary! (Thank you, sweetie! I love them!) We didn't do much...just stayed home and ordered dinner in, as neither one of us felt like leaving the house after a long day. Thank you All Great Eating (www.allgreateating.com) for a delicious dinner!

For Richard's birthday, I planned a big dinner, baked a cake and invited his family over to celebrate, only to find out at 3:30 yesterday afternoon that he had to spray last night and wouldn't be able to come home! I was bummed that he had to work overtime on his birthday, but assured him that we would make up for it this weekend. Thank you, Clint and Tara, for letting Rich crash at your apartment so he doesn't have to drive all the way home on little sleep. We appreciate your hospitality!

I hope everyone is doing well! God bless you all.
