Dancin' fools...

A good sign that my husband has had a TAD bit too much to drink is when he starts dancing. He comes across as such a reserved and quiet man to most people, but he can be quite entertaining. He is goofier than most of you know...and that's just what I love about him. I think everyone got a kick out of him shakin' his groove thing at the wedding. Here is a video of us dancing...notice him doing jumping jacks and chest-bumping me...his white-ness was starting to show! (Please pause the song player on the right before pushing play.)

Heather & Brian's wedding...

This week has been packed with events leading up to and including Heather and Brian's wedding. We are exhausted after the dinners, planning, shopping, decorating, etc., but we have had so much fun! Rich and I were honored to be the best man / matron of honor...
Thursday, some of Heather's bridesmaids from Minnesota flew in town, so all of us girls (and Zack) got together for dinner at Red Robin while the guys had their bachelor party in Chico.
The rehearsal.
Rich and Erik. Erik was our best man in our wedding...and coincidentally, the person that introduced Rich and I AND Heather and Brian.
Me and a few of the girls decorated the happy couple's suite at the Hampton for their wedding night.
A lady is never ready until her toes are painted. Me, Heather and Steph.
Heather's parents Renae and Dennis. Dennis was kind enough to walk me down the isle when Rich and I were married.
He looked so handsome!
Large bridal party!
Apparently I had to sneeze :)

You should have seen this boy on the dance floor. He was a madman!

Rich and the newly married man.

Me, Julie, Marty and Michelle gettin' our groove on!

Rich, Andy and Erik.

Zack was such a good boy for my family while we were busy with wedding stuff.

These girls are trouble! We had so much fun together.

We had the after-party at our house...go beer pong! As if we hadn't had enough to drink at this point...we stole some leftover beer from the reception and kept the party going.

Michelle, Me, Julie and Amie. Amie was so great and brought Zack home from the reception to put him to bed. He slept soundly for the rest of the night.

The house was THRASHED by the end of the night and people were asleep in every room. I woke up to a cheese pizza face down on the kitchen floor (which the cats were eating), beer cans and cups all over the place and a bra on the kitchen table. I guess that's the sign of a fun night! It's been so long since we've been able to let loose like that...but we knew Zack was in good hands with Amie and Colleen.

The morning after the wedding, we picked up some Minnesota visitors and headed for some greasy I-Hop to aide the hangover recovery...then we went to a party at Heather's parent's house for more fun.

Give Daddy kisses! Who's ready for a nap??? I am!

More H2O park fun...

We found a major hit with Zack recently...the water park. That boy crawls circles around all of the bigger kids! We have to watch him closely because he is completely unafraid of the water and sticks his face right in the jets.

Once again...eating bark.

He made a little girlfriend at the park today. She was one of the cutest girls I've ever seen and she was completely obsessed with Zack. She heard me say his name, so then after that she was following him everywhere saying, "No, no, Zacky! Don't eat bark! Over here Zack! Come splash over here!" Then she told her mom that she didn't want to sit on THEIR blanket, she wanted to sit with "that baby". It was so cute.

A friend from high school was in town, so her and Emily and I met up at the park to let our boys play. Her son Collin (left) is 11 months old.

Winding down after playing in the water.

"Ha! And YOU thought I was getting sleepy. Psych!"

"I swear I'm not getting into anything!"
He's now into that very curious phase where you have to watch him every waking moment.

One small step for mankind...

So, on 06/19/08 (last Thursday), Zack took his first two steps! Rich was trying to help him balance on his feet and let go...Zack tried to catch his balance by taking two steps forward. He has yet to do it again, and I think it may be awhile because he seems a little afraid to stand on his own - - he will immediately plop down on his butt if you let go of his hand. I think we may have tooth #7 coming in, but right now it's still under the surface and just irritating him. Poor guy...

Full day of fun...

Today, my nephew AJ, Zack and myself met my sister Kathleen at Turtle Bay Aquarium in Redding. They were having the Bodies Revealed exhibit, which we thought would be really interesting.
After going to the exhibit, we walked across the Sundial Bridge. This is Kate and Zack walking across while AJ and I went down to the river below.

AJ (9)

AJ had a butterfly land on his finger...he was pretty stoked about it.

What an incredible kid he is.

After we made it home from Redding, we took a nap and waited for Rich to come home, then we met with some friends at the water park and ate dinner at the park. Rich took Zack and Naomi (Houston) to play in the water. Naomi didn't last long...she wanted her mom to take her.

Zack had fun crawling over the water jets and then sticking his face in the water.

"You'd better keep up, Daddy! I don't have all day!"

He was so cute and would laugh every time the water turned on.

"Who me? No...I didn't eat any bark. I swear!" We decided to call it quits when he started to eat bark off of the ground and after Rich and I had exhausted ourselves chasing him (after an already long day).

Daniel Houston being shy for the camera. He is such an affectionate little boy. He gives the best hugs.

Little Princess Naomi - - she is such a beautiful little girl.

Naomi headed for the water with her mommy (Sarah).

Braiden (Anders) sure keeps his mom and dad on their toes. He is so smart (and fast too!). I can't believe he's in pre-school already.
