Our son turned 6 months old today! We went to his six month check-up at the pediatrician today and he weighs 19.2 lbs. and is in the 75th percentile for his height and weight (his head? still 95%...but we blame it on all the brains he has in there). She said he seems "very advanced" as far as his motor and social skills, which is good to hear. He is sitting up on his own now and can sit for several minutes without toppling over. He has experimented with all of the different Stage 1 foods...his favorites are green beans and peas and his least favorite is peaches. After our doctor's appointment today, he was playing on the floor at home and started to pull his knees up underneath himself and push off, as if he was going to crawl. I think the crawling days will be here before we know it! I can't believe six months have passed already...I can't believe how blessed we have been.
Got the knees up and he's ready to go!
What we like to call "the spin move" - - still trying to figure out how to get FORWARD motion under his belt.
He is the most amazing thing I've ever known.
In other news, Rich started his first day of work yesterday and loves it so far. He is training with three or four other new-hires. This week, they are focusing on watching training videos before going out into the field. He seems so much happier, which comforts me. I'm adjusting to getting up at 5am to make him breakfast and lunch...I'm not much of a morning person, but I'll do whatever it takes to support him in ways that he needs. I'm so proud of him and how hard he works for our family. Thank you, to all of those that prayed for these changes to come. We're already seeing great benefits for our family with this new schedule.
