The face of colic...

This is what our evenings look like!
We have tried everything under the sun! We have switched formula three times, we use symethicone drops for gas, we feed smaller doses, we burp more often, we take breaks in feeding, we don't over-stimulate him, we take walks, we hold him, we rock him, we talk to him....nothing works. We have a check-up with our pediatrician on Monday to see if there is anything else we could be doing, but we do understand that some babies are just colicky and it may be something we'll just have to wait for him to grow out of. We think that he may have GER (gastroesophageal reflux) and we may have to change to yet an even more gentle formula than he's already on. My nerves are shot! He can scream like this for 4 hours straight in the evenings and by the time Rich gets home, I have to pass him off because I'm so tired. Please pray for continued patience for both of us and pray that the pediatrician will be able to guide us in a direction to make the evenings a little more calm and peaceful.

I am so sorry. I know you love Zack, but this does not look very fun at all. My prayers are with you.

Call me anytime you need a break. You know that I'm available to leave Cristian with Luis after 5:30, and I can come over to give you time for a bath or something that will clear your nerves. Maybe a long walk or drive alone. Don't hesitate to ask!!
