Rich and I took a weekend vacation to Northstar at Tahoe. We had such a fantastic time with each other....that is, after I was given a speeding ticket 15 minutes out of town! We spent a lot of time outdoors and a lot of time just sleeping (which is what we do best on vacation).
On Saturday, we went to the lake and kayaked.
Rich may disagree, but I'd have to say I'm a stud at kayaking. S-T-U-D.
We spent Saturday afternoon at the recreation center at the resort by the pool...then we headed to wine tasting, shopping and dinner.
After dinner, we found a nice cozy spot in The Village.
Doesn't get any better than this.
While the sun was setting, we grabbed our sweatshirts and a "Cuddler" (hot chocolate and butterscotch Shnapps), and we listened to a live band in The Village.
Before leaving, we took the opportunity for a hike in the woods.

Looks like fun! I bet it was beautiful and so nice to get away for a "babymoon" before Zack gets here! Glad you were able to relax and enjoy eachother for the weekend!
Enjoy the rest now, because you won't be getting it for too much longer. I MEAN IT, JUST START SLEEPING NOW, SEPTEMBER IS GOING TO BE HERE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT. Isn't that exciting or what?
I agree...sleep now!!!! Go (to the movie theater) & see alot of movies! And go out to some fancy restaraunts! Do something spontaneous!
Really, while all those may come to a halt for awhile... the time spent with a little one is so MUCH greater! And it goes by soooo fast. Cherish every moment.
