A day at the park...

We had a fantastic time playing at the park today. Rich and I took turns chasing Zack around...he had so much fun exploring all of the fun play equipment and collecting leaves.

"Can't forget THIS leaf!"

My handsome, sweet husband.

"You'd better catch me, Daddy!"

"Try and keep up, Momma."

Pizza night!...

This past week, we kept my brother's three kids while my sister-in-law underwent and healed from surgery. It was quite an adjustment, going from one child to four, but fun nonetheless! They were so good and the girls were very helpful. On Friday night, Rich and I decided to have "Pizza Night", where the kids were able to make their own pizzas. Kasey (2 1/2) was more than willing to lend a helping hand :)

Just doing a little "quality control".

Zack sure enjoyed Pizza Night...and the leftovers the next day! He ate everything you see on that plate, I might add. I think he's going through a growth spurt.

Ralph the Barber...

Zack and I made a visit to see "Ralph the barber" today. Long gone is his shaggy-ness! :)

Play time...

His newest favorite thing is reading books. Give him a few books and this kid is entertained for quite a while! He points out all the different objects on the page and "tells" you all about it...in his sweet little baby talk, that is :)

He loves building blocks with Daddy.

For Zack's first birthday, we bought him this ball-popper toy. He's been obsessed with it a lot lately, but doesn't quite understand that only balls are supposed to go in there :) We find blocks, pacifiers, cat toys in there...you name it. Anyways, Zack's had a nasty cold and high fever for a few days and this was the first sign of him getting better...he wanted to play! He thinks it's funny when I try and snag all of the toys before he can. Then, later, Bailey saw that we were having fun without her, so she wanted in on the action. It was pretty cute. For those who don't know our dog, she was abused before we got her and, therefore, has been extremely slow to warm up - - that is, until Zack came along! Long gone are the days of hiding and shivering behind the couch! Watch the videos, just be sure to pause the music play off to the side before you hit "play".

Date night...

Rich and I have been talking lately and decided that we needed to make some time to do something...just the two of us. Rich called his parents, who agreed to watch Zack, while Rich took me out on a date.

Although Zack loves his Grandpa and Lola, he wasn't so keen on the idea that we were going to leave him. I swear, this boy has so much personality! After we got all packed up and ready to leave, I said, "C'mon, Zack...let's get your shoes on so you can go stay with Grandpa and Lola. We're going to go out for a bit." The little stinker ran into our bedroom, shut the door, then SAT behind it so I couldn't get in! I could hear him laughing on the other side of the door. Lord, help us.

I was finally able to get into our room and drag him out, then, we were on our way! We watched a great movie (The Changeling) in Roseville, then had dinner at the brewery. Zack had fun playing with all of his Lola's tupperware, tormenting their old grumpy cats and reading books with Grandpa. It was such a nice change for us to be able to break away for a few hours!

Happy Halloween!!!...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Just look how tiny our little "Pumpkin" was just one year ago! Last year at this time, we were working through colic (not fun). This year, we are dealing with all new adventures in toddler-hood :)

Getting ready to carve the pumpkin that we picked out at Bishop's Pumpkin Farm.

Bailey doing quality control and making sure it's a good enough pumpkin for OUR "pumpkin" :)

Givin' lovin's to his pumpkin.

He kept giving kisses to his pumpkin too...it was so cute :)

He wanted to eat the pumpkin guts, so we compromised on just smelling them.

"Doin' a good job, Daddy. You keep working and I'll sit here and eat my fish crackers while I supervise."

He REALLY wanted to eat the pumpkin guts, so he started putting his fish crackers in the "gut bucket" and then eating them. So creative.

"That's slimy, Mom!"

Notice his gaping mouth? He couldn't believe that the pumpkin had all of that stuff inside of it.

"Zacky...I see you trying to put that pumpkin seed in your mouth! Don't eat the pumpkin!"

Taking a break to eat dinner while Daddy carves the pumpkin's face.

You can see his engineer mind a'workin'.

For Halloween, Zack dressed up as a "Future Rockstar". We've been letting his hair grow for the last two months to fit the costume.

All of our kids dressed up and ready for some candy!

Zack (Rockstar), Kyrie (Raggedy Anne), Kasey (Rambo), Kaitlyn (Dead Pirate), Shea (Hannah Montana), AJ (The Grim Reaper) and Alex (Indiana Jones).

"I gotta go, Mom. They're calling me on stage."

Kate did such a good job on the makeup!

"Mom, I don't have time for pictures. I've got a show to do."

The cutest little Rambo I've ever seen :)
