Today, Emily had to have minor surgery on her foot, so Logan came over to play. After pulling out every toy and having a big lunch, we cooked up some popcorn and popped in a movie. The boys had a great time together today :)
Yesterday was a gorgeous day, so I decided that Zack and I would go to the zoo...just the two of us. We had such a fun time! He was thrilled to see all of the animals and to ride the train. I love building special memories with him like that. I won't ever forget it.
"Holy moly! Mom brought fruit snacks! SCORE!"
We packed a nice little picnic and shared it with the squirrels :)
Almond butter and apricot jam...our favorite!
Last week, our best friends took us to see a comedy show in Sacramento. We had a great date night, starting off with a wonderful dinner at Tower Cafe.
Zack's learning to count and say his ABC's now. He also has learned to say grace before eating, which is the most heart-melting thing I've ever heard...
Rich and I have been happily in love since 2000. After unsuccessfully trying to have kids, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and, therefore, we cannot have biological children. We adopted our son Zack through a private adoption from a family member. We hope to someday grow our family further, but for now, we are soaking up every second with our little man. We are also foster parents, which can be both very rewarding and very challenging...but we do our best. We are currently in the process of adopting "Lil' Baby" from the foster system. We've been blessed to have both of our children since they were one day old.
"Every happening, great or small, is a parable by which God speaks to us...and the art of life is to get the message."
